Etsy takes three fees on a normal sale: the listing fee, the transaction fee and payment processing. Together they come to $2.82, or 11.3% of the price.
The supplier takes far more. Base price and shipping are $16.87, so you keep $5.30.
Payment processing is charged on everything the buyer pays, sales tax included, so the real figure is a few cents higher in most states.

Offsite ads take most of a tee’s margin
On the same order, a sale from an offsite ad costs another $3.75. You’d keep $1.55. Shops under $10,000 a year in sales can opt out; above it the ads are compulsory, at 12%. Either way the fee stops at $100 per order.
Selling from the UK
The listing and transaction fees are the same. Payment processing is higher, at 4% + £0.20, and UK-based shops also pay a regulatory operating fee of 0.48% on each order.
